Breath Weapons (Recharge 5-6). The cacus uses one of the following breath weapons.

Fire Breath. The cacus exhales fire in a 30-foot cone.    Each creature in that area must make a DC 17    Dexterity saving throw, taking 31 (9d6) fire    damage on a failed save, or half as much damage    on a successful one.

Smoke Breath. The cacus exhales thick smoke in a    20-oot-radius sphere centered on itself. The    sphere spreads around corners, and its area is    heavily obscured. The smoke remains for 1    minute, oruntil a wind of moderate or greater    speed (at least 10 miles per hour) disperses it.
